Handling alcohol-based products comes with a high responsibility.
These photos were taken by a Doctor at the Södersjukhuset (SÖS) in Stockholm, Sweden.
Alcohol-based products with a high % of ethanol shall due it is flammable or very flammable be stored in classified cabinets.
On the pictures it is clear that a part of the stock did not fit into the over-loaded cabinet.
Storing flammable liquids always constitutes a risk and outside of the cabinet the risk is unnecessary high. Patients and staff at the hospital is therefore exposed to an increase risk of fire.
If your employer does not follow the regulations of storing dangerous products we recommend you to talk to the local protection agent or the responsible person for health and safety at the facility about the problem so it can be handled accordingly.
In Sweden the authority for protection and preparedness is regulating the handling of danger related to alcohol-based product.
